Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Developer of automated test procedures for a high-performance electronic trading system.
• The engineer will work in the Performance and Technical Test team of the project; tasks include:
• Design and implementation of test procedures for failover/recovery scenarios in a multi-tier environment
• Development of distributed transaction feed procedures, mostly in Python
• Implementation of automated result analysis Target platform will be Linux.

Qualifications/Required Skills:
• Python scripting
• Deep (>3 years) knowledge of Linux, with a focus in any of the areas
• High availability systems - operations experience welcome
• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Messaging architectures
• Good communications skills
• Experience of software development in large projects Good overview and knowledge of open source software Ability to work in an international project team

Job Position: Media Analyst

Job Description / Details:
• An Australian Media Company is seeking Offshore Junior Media Analysts to read and assess news items. Full training provided.
• We have 2 full time positions, Monday to Friday – keep your weekends free!
• Starting salary 12000 Rs per month (opportunities for promotion after 3 months)
• Work from home online, after undertaking our online training process. You must have your own reliable PC with broadband connection. Your PC will be remotely monitored during your working hours. (We have senior managers in India who will manage you daily).
• Essentially, you will be reading newspaper articles concerning large companies, and entering them into a database. You will need to assess the articles according to a number of rules that focus on the quality of the media coverage. Full training provided.
• Work hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm, with 1 x 1 hour lunch break, and 2 x 20 minute “refresher” breaks, one in the late morning and one in the late afternoon.
• Be part of a hard working, fast growing, Australian-Indian partnership, and have the freedom of working in the comfort of your own home, but with the support of colleagues online from India and Australia!

Academic Requirements:
• You will hold at least distinction average in any Bachelors degree.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have specialized in English as part of their degree.
• Fluency in English is essential.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Basic data entry work, gathering news data for analysis
• Reading and evaluating news items according to rules (full training provided)
• Writing news item summaries
• Generating reports in Microsoft Word
• Other administrative tasks as required from time to time

Skills & Competencies / Cover letter:

• A passion for reading the newspapers
• A high attention to detail (i.e. you can enter in data into a spreadsheet and not make mistakes, or pick up and fix mistakes fast)

• Ability to concentrate for long hours (ie. you can sit on your computer, read news items online and enter them into the computer without getting restless)
• Excellent language skills (i.e. you can write succinct and professionally, with clarity, and you can read fast and with full comprehension).
